Vladislav Shestakov took part in the ISPE EAEU Conference
The ISPE EAEU Conference 2021 began its work in Moscow. Vladislav Shestakov, Director of the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, took part in the session “International Integration of the Professional Pharmaceutical Community of Russia and the EAEU”, who noted the special importance of ISPE for the pharmaceutical community and the implementation of new practices in production.
The State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia back then supported the creation of an ISPE Affiliate on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, and at the initial stage of the formation of the Eurasian Affiliate, most of its members were employees of the Institute. Now the number of employees of the Institution in relation to the total number of members of the Eurasian branch of ISPE has changed significantly and is about 20% of the total.
«This indicates that the community is developing, representatives of the pharmaceutical industry in Russia and the EAEU member states see this platform as an opportunity for their own growth and development,» noted Vladislav Shestakov, Director of FSI «SID & GP», in his speech.
The Director of the Institute also noted the particular importance of organizations such as ISPE in the implementation and scaling of new practices and effective solutions, especially now, in the face of increased pressure on the pharmaceutical industry and the healthcare system. In production, all processes are subject to strict rules and requirements, but at the same time, pharmaceutical production seeks to modernize and improve, which allows the development of the site, technologies and production processes.
«After the innovations show their effectiveness, they can be scaled up and corrections made to the relevant regulations, – Vladislav Shestakov said in his speech. – From the point of view of the state, such changes take a lot of time. But with the help of organizations such as ISPE, new possible solutions and changes in processes can be brought to the pharmaceutical industry more quickly in the form of recommendations, after which they will already be enshrined at the legislative level».
The Director of FSI «SID & GP» paid special attention to the integration processes that are taking place on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, as by 2025 a complete transition to the single EAEU market is planned. The consistent development of this process was the creation of an educational structure on the territory of the Union, which became the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices. Currently, a number of programs have been developed in various areas, including an educational module on engineering, foreign experts are actively involved, including those from the Eurasian ISPE Affiliate.
«At the same time, I would like to highlight that the Eurasian Affiliate is not only a Russian office, – the Director of FSI «SID & GP» emphasized in the conclusion of his speech. – Therefore, I would like the ISPE members from other countries – members of the Eurasian Economic Union to be more actively involved in the educating process at our Academy, which will make it possible to make a reciprocal contribution to the development of the pharmaceutical industry».
