Our regulatory standards on pharmaceutical production and quality assurance comply with the best global practices; the majority of the Russian manufacturers use modern high-tech equipment. Domestically produced pharmaceutical products are not inferior in quality, effectiveness and safety than the foreign ones. This has been proven during the issuance of manufacturing authorizations, monitoring of production conditions and subsequent market oversight,” emphasized Vladislav Shestakov.

Speaking about the importance of maintaining trust with patients, Vladislav Shestakov noted that it is important to enter into a direct open dialogue with the patient community and establish close connection between the manufacturers and physicians. “We need to demonstrate that the domestic drug manufacturers are high-tech companies that invest heavily in research and development, and their production sites are equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment, actually, unlike a number of foreign enterprises that were established long time ago,” Vladislav Shestakov noted during his speech.
