Unity of Approaches to the Good Quality: Main Themes in the Spotlight of the 2022 GMP Conference Business Agenda

The event is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation jointly with the FSI “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices”; the technical operator of the Conference is the S-GROUP Corporate Communications. The general partner of the Conference is the Pharmasyntez Group of Companies.

This year’s Conference tagline is “GxP: Unity of Approaches to the Good Quality” As Director of the FSI “SID and GP”, Vladislav Shestakov, has marked now, more than ever, it is important to be in an open dialogue and consolidate the efforts of all market participants in order to sustain access to safe, high-quality, and effective medicines.

“The business agenda of the conference reflects the main trends and current issues of the pharmaceutical industry development. Representatives of Russian and foreign regulatory authorities, as well as leading industry experts, will discuss the formation of new international partnerships in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare system, the development of consistent expert approaches to GMP inspections conducted according to the EAEU rules, and many others,” Vladislav Shestakov says. 

The Conference will commence with the Plenary Session on “International cooperation on good practices under the current geopolitical conditions”. The participants will discuss the experience of international cooperation in regulatory matters, as well as the activities of professional industry associations as a tool for harmonising GMP rules at the interstate level.

The Panel Session on “Eurasian integration in the field of good practices under current geopolitical conditions” will feature a review of approved key measures and decisions of the Eurasian Economic Commission in 2020-2022. Moreover, expert will consider the EAEU common market development trends under the Strategy-2025, as well as methods and ways of elaboration of consistent expert approaches to GMP inspections conducted according the EAEU rules. Representatives of pharmaceutical companies will share their experience.

The Panel Session “A unifying role of GxP in the conditions of the changing reality” will comprise two parts. The Conference will turn the spotlight on the drug quality assurance throughout its life cycle with respect to latest legislative initiatives and formation of new logistics ties. Experts will also touch upon the regulatory issues and manufacture of innovative and advance therapy medicinal products.

The business agenda sessions in the first day of the Conference will be held with support of the PRO.MED.CS Praha a.s., AKRIKHIN, Sun Pharma, PharmaEco Group of Companies, AVPHARM.     

Leading experts of the industry will participate in the workshop, with its practical part being a game-based quest, in which several teams, both from Inspectorate and pharmaceutical companies will take part. The teams will be offered various tasks to test their knowledge of the rules of the EAEU GMP as well as analysis of non-conformities in the form of a game.
