The Final Stage of the GxP Fest International Student Festival 2022 to be held on April 21
The GxP Fest international student festival is being organized by the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices with support of the FSI “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices”, Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (FSI “SID & GP”). The main goal of the project is to draw attention of the pharmaceutical community to the training issues in the good practices for circulation of pharmaceutical products, as well as promote the industrial pharmacy among the students of relevant faculties.
The competitive section of the GxP Fest 2022 consists of two rounds and, for the first time, it targets two audiences, i.e. students and lecturers.
The first round (GxP Battle), that was held virtually on 21 March 2022 on the Academy’s learning platform, saw the participation of more than 600 students that formed 92 teams representing 61 higher educational institutions from 7 counties: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. 40 teams that had showed best results qualified for the finals.
The qualifying stage for lecturers was completed on 10 April 2022. The lecturers presented their original solutions for innovative teaching and learning resources for the good pharmacy practices courses (GMP, GLP, GDP, GVP, etc.) for higher professional education. 41 entries were submitted from faculties representing major specialized higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the EAEU member states. Following the results of the meeting of the expert commission, the faculties of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Russian Ministry of Health (Moscow), Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (Almaty), Altai State Medical University (Barnaul), and Voronezh State University (Voronezh) became the winners.
The closing day of the GxP Fest 2022 will commence with an inauguration ceremony that will feature welcoming address from the Academy’s senior management, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of Russia, and the EAEU member states, followed with the plenary session for lecturers and experts. The first part of the discussion will cover today’s challenges of training future professionals of pharmaceutical industry, while the second part will comprise presentations of innovative learning aids in the field the good practices selected by the expert commission. Preparation of a resolution for regulatory authorities is also planned.

Concurrently, the Academy’s learning platform will be hosting the GxP Quest, the second round of the competition for student teams that would decide the winners. During the day, students will also see competitions by companies, a job fair, a photography contest, a webinar on creating a successful CV by the HeadHunter Company, and individual presentations as part of the activities of the Academy’s student club.

The Eurasian Academy of Good Practices offers comprehensive HR solutions for the pharmaceutical industry of the EAEU common space. The GxP Fest helps to identify young talents and create a talent pool that would be able to implement breakthrough strategies for the pharmaceutical industry. Students will have an opportunity to look into their future occupation through the prism of the riveting, interactive, and practice-oriented GxP Quest and assess their expertise level, while pharmaceutical enterprises will get profiles of the best students who may possibly be employed. Meantime, the Festival themes are bringing to the light the gap between the theoretical knowledge students acquire at higher educational institutions and the situations young professionals face in actual practice. This stipulates further improvement of the curricula.
