A Memorandum between the ANO “Eurasian Academy of Good Practices” and the RUE “Center of Examinations and Tests in Healthcare” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus was signed on March 1, 2022, on the sidelines of the 13th Eurasian Pharmaceutical Forum, in Moscow.

The document was signed by the Executive Director of the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices, Doctor of Pharmacy, Professor Irina Spichak, and the Deputy Director of the Center of Examinations and Tests in Healthcare of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Olga Zhuravleva.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the guests participating in the Eurasian Pharmaceutical Forum. Director of the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, President of the Academy, Vladislav Shestakov, delivered a congratulatory address. He noted that the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices was established in February 2021, and a lot of work has been done over the year, with more than 30 advanced training and retraining educational programs for pharmaceutical industry professionals prepared, and ties with educational and scientific institutions developed. The signing of the Memorandum is another step towards boosting cooperation in the field of safety, efficacy, and quality of drugs in the common EAEU market.

“I am confident that the implementation of joint projects in the field of scientific and practical activities and educational programs, as well as the organization of training events and the publication of scientific papers within the framework of this Memorandum, will be aimed at forming and fostering a long-term and effective cooperation for both sides,” Vladislav Shestakov said.

From her end, Olga Zhuravleva highly appreciated the importance of signing this agreement. “This kind of cooperation enables us to exchange practical experience, which is very important. Representatives of the Center have repeatedly taken training at the Academy and are highly satisfied with the quality and level of the way that the educational process is arranged. The leading staff of the Center were involved in teaching and shared their experience. I believe that the signing of a Memorandum with the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices will strengthen and significantly expand the cooperation that has already begun,” Olga Zhuravleva said.

Director of the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices, Professor Irina Spichak pronounced the Academy’s slogan, ” Let`s achieve high results together”. She noted that the integration of the two strong partners would contribute to the emergence of new joint innovative educational projects, strengthen expert work on finding solutions for the regulatory documents elaboration, and enhance scientific and consulting activities in the field of drug development and registration.

The parties also agreed on the active participation of partners in joint educational projects. First of all, these are the events traditionally organized by the Academy, i.e. the “GxP-Fest” International Student Festival to be held in April 2022, and the “GxP-Pro” International Professional Skills Competition for the pharmaceutical industry professionals. It was mentioned that a postgraduate of the Belarusian State Technological University became a winner of the “GxP-Fest” in 2021. In the future, a wider participation of the student and teaching community of the Republic of Belarus in the Academy’s student events is expected.

The participants of the ceremony noted that the signing of a Memorandum between the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices and the RUE “Center of Examinations and Tests in Healthcare” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus would contribute to the progress and reinforcement of mutually beneficial cooperation, including that within the framework of the EAEU.
