A meeting with the professor of the Sechenov University was held in the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices

On December 21, in the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices, a meeting of its staff with the professor of the Sechenov University, Doctor of Medicine, Ms. Olga Philippova, was held. The lecture was attended by more than 30 experts from the Institute.

Within the partnership program between FSI «SID & GP» and the Sechenov University, in the beginning of December, seven experts from the Institute completed the educational course «Biological Chemistry. Physiology. Pharmacology» elaborated by the professors of the Sechenov University specifically for FSI «SID & GP». The course was taken by seven experts of the Institute: the Director of the Institute Mr. Vladislav Shestakov, the Head of Drug Manufacture Inspections and Expert Evaluation Directorate Ms. Nataliya Chadova, the Deputy Head of Drug Manufacture Inspections and Expert Evaluation Directorate Ms. Tatiana Nikolko, the Deputy Head of Expert Evaluation Department Ms. Nadezhda Arkhipova, the Head of Training Production Department Mr. Vyacheslav Goryachkin, the Lead Expert of Drug Manufacture Inspections Department Mr. Vitaly Kazulkin and the Lead Expert of Drug Manufacture Inspections Department Mr. Vladimir Smirnov.

During the lecture, Ms. Philippova briefly talked about the course «Biological Chemistry. Physiology. Pharmacology» taken by the experts of the Institute. The «Pharmacology» course program included such topics as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, dose/effect relationship, adverse events and side effects of drug products, original and generic drugs, vitamins and substances impacting the immune system, the microbial flora and antiviral agents, substances impacting the central nervous system. The «Human Physiology and Anatomy Basics» course covered the physiology issues in terms of the nervous system, the cardio-vascular system, the musculo-skeletal system, blood coagulability, the immune system, the excretory system and the reproductive system. The staff of the Dosage Forms Development Laboratory and the Analytical Test Methods Laboratory were mostly interested in the topics related to the «Biological Chemistry» program: pathobiochemistry, peptide metabolism, enzymes and coenzymes, bioenergetics, carbohydrate metabolism and lipid metabolism.
