Director Vladislav Shestakov of the FSI “SID & GP” Addresses the GLP-PLANET Conference

At the opening of the VII International GLP-PLANET Conference on July 1, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Vladislav Shestakov, Director of the Federal State Institution “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices” (FSI “SID & GP”), delivered a welcome address to the participants.

In his speech, he emphasized that over the years the conference has established itself as a reputable professional platform for open dialogue among all stakeholders involved in the development, efficacy and safety evaluation, and registration of medicinal products.

As noted by the head of the institute, the conference now brings together over 500 experts from around the world, which reflects a sustained interest in the topic and serves as a foundation for dynamic industry engagement. It is precisely on such platforms that solutions are forged – solutions capable of accelerating the emergence and uptake of innovations, strengthening the regulatory framework, and advancing the system of Good Laboratory Practice.

Vladislav Shestakov highlighted the priority tasks identified by the industry: harmonization of standards across the EAEU, development of a unified strategy for drug development and research, as well as training highly qualified personnel.
