The first All-Russian interuniversity GxP-summit with international participation «Choice of the best. Time forward»
The first All-Russian interuniversity GxP-summit with international participation «Choice of the best. Time forward» took place from July 5 to 7, 2017. About 200 delegates attended the event, particularly, 170 guests participated in the program of day one, including best students from 28 universities of 23 Russian cities and other EAEU countries (Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan).
An event dedicated to GxP practices in such a format was held for the first time in Russia. An independent expert board, comprising leaders of the industry, assessed works of 61 contenders for the title of the best and promising young talent of the pharmaceutical industry: the participants took tests and answered questions of the practical quiz.
Several months before the event, the students were tasked to write a research paper; based on their results the delegates were selected to participate in the summit in Tula.
A particular attention was paid to the issues of unbiased evaluation and objective indicators, therefore, the authorship of the works was not announced and the experts did not know which university was represented by each student; for the sake of this, the participants were assigned with different chemical elements. The organizers also divided all students into groups in such a way that representatives of the same university did not happen to be in one and the same group.
Ultimately, the top three winners included representatives from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, and Kazan. Thus, Sabina Mamedova, a fifth-year student of Kazan State Medical University, took the 3rd place in the competition (the prize was a certificate for 50 000 roubles).
The 2nd place was shared by Julia Lebedeva (a fifth-year student of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University) and Maria Savitcheva (a first-year student of St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical Academy), who scored an equal number of points: they shared the prize, a certificate for 100 000 roubles.
The winner of the first All-Russian interuniversity GXP-summit with international participation «Choice of the best. Time forward» is Armen Mezhlumian, a fourth-year student of N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University; he was given the prize, a certificate for 200 000 roubles.
Among other summit participants were students and postgraduates from Aktobe (Kazakhstan), Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Barnaul, Blagoveschensk, Vitebsk (Belarus), Volgograd, Voronezh, Gomel (Belarus), Erevan (Armenia), Izhevsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Moscow, Orenburg, Perm, Petrozavodsk, Samara, Saint-Petersburg, Tver, Tomsk, Ufa, and Yaroslavl.
