Mr. Boyko was born on July 26, 1956, in Potsdam, East Germany, to a family of a military doctor.
Biography:After high school, studied at the Kirov Military Medical Academy from 1973 to 1979, graduated with honors.
1979 – 1985 held medical, academic and scientific positions in therapeutic, prophylactic and research departments of the USSR Defense Ministry.
1985 – successfully completed a postgraduate course and defended a PhD thesis.
1985 – 1993 held medical, academic and scientific positions in therapeutic, prophylactic and research departments of the USSR/Russian Defense Ministry.
1993 – while teaching in the Department of Infectious Diseases in the Military Medical Academy, defended a doctoral thesis dedicated to: «Infectious Diseases» and «Immunology and Allergology».
For more than 20 years, Mr. Boyko has been a member of the top management team at «Nycomed Russia-CIS» (1994-2012), «Takeda Pharmaceuticals» (2012-2015), «VeroPharm», and «Abbott Laboratories» (2015-2017).
2008 – 2009 completed an Executive MBA course in General Management at the Stockholm School of Economics.
From 2002 to 2014, delivered lectures as professor in the leading universities of the country: Saint Petersburg State Chemical Pharmaceutical Academy, Department of Organization and Economy of Pharmacy (2002-2005), a course in «Social Pharmacy» at the Chair of Pharmacy of the Postgraduate Professional Education Department of the Moscow Sechenov Medical Academy (2011-2012), Federal Medical and Biological Agency, State Institute of Advanced Training, Department of Pharmacy (2005-2014).
In 2007 by the order of the Federal Education and Science Supervision Agency Mr. Boyko received the academic title of «Professor of pharmacy».
Mr. Boyko is the author of more than 340 scientific, educational and methodological works, publications, monographs, and patents for inventions.
Awards and honours:In 2011, Mr. Boyko was recognized as the «Best Operating Manager of the Year in Russian Pharmaceutical Industry» and was awarded the «Platinum ounce» and a diploma.
Awarded a letter of appreciation – «Peacekeeping soldier» – from the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Council for courage and valor during performance of the international duty in the Republic of Afghanistan.
Received a medal «To a peacekeeper from grateful Afghan nation» by the order of the President of the Republic of Afghanistan.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Afghanistan was awarded the medal «Soldier-internationalist from the grateful Afghan people».
